God, please keep me clean and sober today. Please give me the patience I need to loving and tolerant. Please help me to accept others as they are so that I may be of service. Please help me to stay close to you so that I can hear or be aware of your will for me as it relates to whatever I do. God my way is so obvious and feels so natural all the time, please help me to be different today. God there are some areas where I am aware that my choices have been poor. I have been totally self indulgent and I know it is not as easy as whatever gratification I might get at the moment, it affects other areas of my life. I think if I begin to let one area go it spills over on to other areas and before I know it I am moving backward so fast that its hard to put on the brakes. Please help me to put the brakes on right now. Please help me to live one day at a time and today is a different today. Yesterday is behind me. Today, so far I am that person I am striving to be.....that I think you want me to be. Please give me strength. Thank you for the choice to not drink or drug today. There is all kinds of hope. I know I am way better then I used to be today. Thank you for that.
