Update on Dad! UGH its been a very long 11 days. Yesterday he was having some breathing issues and the tests revealed fluid around his lung so they placed a bigger chest tube which had great return so things improved at first then he likely had more flash pulmonary edema which led to intubation again last night! He was mad this morning and wanted the tube out so he could have ice. They took out the spinal drain and smaller chest tube today. Hopefully he will be extubated in a day or so. His vital signs are stable. Praying he gets over all the bumps and starts to mend. You are NEVER ready to see your parents like this :(
