God understands the human condition better than we do. Even more than Lucifer. We have the capability to do great things. And to do terrible things. We built 17 magestic Saturn V rockets to put man into space. How many more did we build for the sole purpose of global genocide? Tens of thousands. Theres a rational argument that we werent ready to eat from the tree of knowledge. As long as we have yet to destroy our only celestial home, we stand a chance of proving God wrong, and oddly, Lucifer right- we deserve to learn, to explore, to grow. Would we have been able to reach for the stars, had we never left the garden of Eden? In our idle comfort, we would never know the thirst for exploration. We would have lived like angels, but without wings. Maybe it was Lucifers misguided intention to liberate mankind from the shackles of complacency, to unleash our true potential. As we now wrestle with pollution, diminishing resources, poverty and greed, politics, and crystal meth, we now see why God was so guarded against that potential. The teachings of Christ, about love and compassion, may do more than save our souls, it may save our species. From ourselves.
