The events of the weekend look likely to prove pivotal to our hopes of bringing the Saints home. But lots of questions remain unanswered.... Will incumbent Member Martin Foley be able to persuade his party that co-habitation of the Junction is a win-win for all concerned and thereby bring his electorates only AFL side back to its original locale, insodoing providing local traders with the chance to tap much needed traffic in quiet winter and otherwise bring an estimated $50 million of community benefit to his electorate that a Saints return can provide? Or will fellow Saints man Tex Perkins (with your correspondent below) bolt home like the dark horse of the name of his latest band and save the Saints as well as the Palais? What about local liberal candidate Shannon Eeles? Does she have an opinion either way? Or does she even give a hoot let alone two? And what about local councillors Serge Thomann and Andrew Bond. What role can they play? Lets hope the cards fall our way in these pre-election weeks!
