God wants your will. It is possible to be stirred in your emotions but for your will to remain unmoved. It is not until you take your will and surrender it totally to the Lord that you can truly speak of consecration in your life. John Wesley prayed, “My will be swallowed up in thine!” Once Jesus is Lord of your life, He will take control over everything and will guide your choices. This is not living by some rule book. If your will is surrendered to Christ then the Holy Spirit takes over and you become so full of Him that you have no room for anything else!
