Gotta get this off my chest. Watching the news last night 2 items, in the same broadcast, underscored just how badly our country is screwed up. The hospital settled with the family of the guy that died of ebola in their hospital, for 250,000.00 and wiped out his hospital bill!!!! You know that guy that knowingly came to our country and exposed us to the deadly virus!?!?! I told my husband to take me there if Im dying cause they have set a precedent of paying out on patients that die in their care. The news station even did a survey and 92% of respondents said the hospital should NOT pay!!! The second item was that 2 women showed up too late for breakfast at a mickey Ds and were caught on video pitching a fit, throwing chairs and even hitting a guy that tried to get them to calm down, with a broomstick. AND NO CHARGES WERE FILED!!! Geez people, common sense seems to have gone out the window in this country. OK, rant over.
