Gods Morning Let us start in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father hear us this morning as we pray for the US. The United States of America, one nation under God. I pray for our government, our President, leaders and members of both parties. Let them put down their political agendas, their egos to work for the good of your people, your nation. Let their hearts and minds be opened and filled with your wisdom and strength. Let them hear your calling, let them follow your direction and come to a compromise the will serve all of your people. In this I pray in your Holy name Jesus Christ. Amen. Where do you turn when life becomes hard, when even the simplest thing seems difficult. I do not know where you turn but I personally turn to God as I am sure most of you do also. Because Jesus is our rock, in whom we take refuge. In 1 Peter 2:4-5 As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. We turn back to the living stone, our rock, a rock that will never weaken, will never grow weary. A rock which we can put our trust in and build our life upon. A living stone which was rejected by humans. Humans of long ago as well as humans in our society. I too am one of those people who at one point in my life rejected Jesus and then return to a forgiving and accepting Father. He is my rock, the living stone. So my friends let Jesus be our living stone. Let us put our trust in Jesus. Let us also be built into living stones so that we can live our lives to honor Him. Let us be His hands and feet here on earth. Let us be examples for others to follow. Also in 1 Peter 2:12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. Peace and love Always Joe
