Genesis 37:25–28 ESV Trapped inside an empty well, Joseph had to contemplate his life and how he got there. He was from a wealthy family, the favorite son of his dad. He wore a special coat of many colors that his dad had given him. God had given him dreams that he was going to be a leader one day. Everything was in place for him to shine, or so it seemed. Then Joseph was kidnapped by his jealous brothers and sold as a slave. He went to Egypt as a captive, and after that, into prison. Looking back, it was an effective plan. It humbled Joseph, transported him to Egypt, and placed him right where he needed to be. He became the second-in-command of the most powerful nation on earth at that time. Though your life may have taken a sudden turn for the worse, it actually will work out for the better. Be patient, God will work out the details. Life’s detours are Gods Interstate Highways.
