Going by the figures maintained by the Ministry of Finance, Bhutan has over Nu. 79 billion, as its external debt, as of March 2013. The amount is equivalent to about 78 percent of the country’s GDP. However the government budgetary debts amounts to Nu. 16 billion. The remaining are the debts of the corporate and central bank. now those people who are really afraid of the countries debt must have been cleared,,,,,thank u BBS and MOE..for the clarification...
