Going home! CaringBridge post by Mitzi: I sit here typing this Thursday night and I am so thankful I am writing a post about going home from the hospital! As long as there are no complications, Morgan will be discharged from the hospital on Friday and we will head home. She continues to sleep a lot and she will go home on the continuous pain medicine that she was on at home. We decided to start back on chemo, but only at 2 capsules a day. We will monitor her counts closely and if her numbers start to drop, we will stop the chemo. Also, we will go home under the care of the hospice organization that we were on before. I really cannot explain the roller coaster of emotions that we have been on. We have grieved, laughed, cried, breathed sighs of relief - you name it, we have pretty much experienced that emotion over these past 13 days. Yet, at this moment, I am filled with thankfulness to be able to go home with my baby girl. Thank you God! David and I continue to pray for guidance and wisdom in decisions that have to be made and we seek Him alone. We understand that we are not in control. We do not have the answers, but we pray to the One who does. We cherish every second, knowing it is a gift from God. Thank you so much for standing in the gap for us! We would appreciate your continued prayer support. We live hour by hour, knowing that things can change so very quickly.
