Going into our recent Fontainebleau trip, whilst carrying a shoulder injury, was never going to be the best preparation. I managed an easy Orange circuit at Trois Pignons 95.2 on day two, but climbed little else having hurt my left rib tendons & muscles with a clumsy topout at Cuisiniere. On the last day at Rocher aux Sabots, was seduced by a particular problem called La Classique, which I attempted three years ago. Having flashed the traverse, went on to work with Billy on this project. Mark Reilly made it look easy, and Billy Sands topped out after having worked out the sequences. On my penultimate attempt, an acute pain in my shoulder curtailed the finish, but thanks to Laura Ann Begbie deft tweak of a trapped nerve, this is what happened next. A brilliant boulder problem in one of my favourite areas of the forest, with a great group of climbers. https://youtube/watch?v=FE_Or84XhIw
