Going on next door is a sad real-life rendition of what would actually happen if the Blues Brothers accidentally got stuck doing a country gig. The piano player is actually pretty good, but MY GOD the singers need to stop. The girl especially needs to at least get into a position where she hears the sound of her own voice, and can realize the effect silence will have on her friendships and love life. I say Blues Brothers, because they clearly do not know any real country songs...I just heard a half-the-lyrics-gone version of Sweet Home Alabama that was mostly humming, followed by the most ear-wrenching Bobby Magee Ive ever been unfortunate enough to experience. Wait... Oh God now theyre trying to do My Girl. They do not know the words to this either. To my many musical friends, thank you for taking the time to practice and become good at what you do, so that you do not have to play at backyard parties, and do not embarrass yourselves when you do perform. This might lead to a headache before the night is out.
