Going to begin the brackets this year as in every previous year: by filling KU in all the way and then assessing the carnage. Two seed in the south should actually play well for us this year, in the sense that we seek to re-create the Danny and Miracles run in 88 (at least by win percentage), except with the next Tracy McGrady/Lebron at the outset and the next Hakim Olajuwon waiting to be released (not unlike the Kraken), hopefully by a tough (Black), cerebral (Ellis), and angry (Traylor) front court ready to get us to that point, with the ingenuity of smart (Tharpe) and hard-nosed (Mason) guard play, kept together by the glue and hustle (Selden) of the squad, plus role players reigning treys when necessary. Yes, its Phi Slamma Good God Damma for 2014. If lucky enough to make it past E. Ky and Stanford and/or New Mexico, a potential slow-paced yet epic showdown awaits with Syracuse in the sweet 16, and then a potential rematch with an efficient Florida team who we played tough in their house, for the rights to visit Dallas and make history again. The south region this year is what the SEC title game is to football, hopefully with a similar outcome for whomever should make it out of the swamp alive - and, perhaps through a dream match-up in the finals with either of our state counterparts (hopefully WSU makes it two in a row, except one step further). (As an aside, included a link to last years theme music (why not make it two in a row here, as well?) that has a good opening line for connecting the cardiovascular fitness so endemic to basketball to memory, as well. In other words, if the link exists - i.e. if the proof is what we think it is - then USF-alum Bill Russell and MJ truly would never forget, as well as Roy Williams never forgetting to mention that he recruited and coached MJ with KU alum, Dean Smith. Also, whatever touch-screen-synthesizer-guitar instrument Muses guitarist plays is kind of cool.) https://youtube/watch?v=Ek0SgwWmF9w
