Golden, I have one for the record books in Re Pottstown Police - TopicsExpress

Golden, I have one for the record books in Re Pottstown Police Department. Saturday morning at 4 am the Pottstown Police patrolled Manatawny park when the encountered a gentleman sleeping in the park. They awoke him and handcuffed him. They told him that if he did not give them an address they would lock him up. The man frazzled, proceeded to give his last known address and asked them to take him there. They arrived at the address and pounded the door until they received an answer from a half asleep woman who resided there. The woman (who is not listed on the PFA) was told that if she did not let him in, he would be arrested. With no one wanting to see anyone arrested for simply sleeping, she allowed him to enter the foyer of the apartment building refusing him any further access. The reason she refused him access any further is because the man has a three year protection from abuse order from the residence. Two orders were hand delivered to the police by the victim, one was a temporary order and the second a permanent three year order. Now, the police had a duty to run this gentleman’s name. They neglected that duty and put a woman and her children in jeopardy by this miscarriage of justice. What should be done? What right did they have to do this? I put a call through to the officer in charge Sgt Brian Rathgeb. I voiced my concerns on his voicemail and I was told that he would be in at 8:00 that evening. It’s now Monday and no reply from him. I wanted to post this for the friends of golden Cockroach to see however, I am afraid of the repercussions. Am I allowed to post this?
