Golden Retrievers originated in Scotland and annual tradition at our breeds National show brings tears to many eyes and is one of my favorite rituals to experience. The bagpiper always plays on the last day of the show during the entrance of the Best of Breed competition. She needed an extra set of lungs this year as she played for over 200 goldens to enter the ring. From the video I shared yesterday, with the Best of Breed dogs all lined up outdoors in nice weather, waking up to an accumulation of snow this morning took everyone by surprise. I dont envy them having to groom and prepare their dogs today after waking up to grooming tables and exercise pens covered in snow, let alone not being prepared for such cold weather. They have delayed the start today to 9;30 to those who arent aware! Bring on the coffee, lets get this party started!
