Good AM FB Family. Praise God for this 203rd day of 2013. Yesterday I watch the movie 42 with my wife and oldest son. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. I appreciate how they showed the ugliness Mr. Robinson had to endure, yet did not make it the dominate theme of the movie. I really wanted Jr. to see it because he has to understand, as a baseball player, playing at the travel level, and playing a position, catcher, he naturally will draw attention because he is truly a minority, all things considered. Thankfully, he does not look at himself as an African American baseball player/catcher...he sees himself as a pretty darn (good choice of words) good baseball player who can help his team win. And that is good. But, 42 did push him on the fact that he is a role model, already, for several young boys, his 7 year old brother for one, who now strive to be good baseball players, play travel ball, and desire to grow up to be just like him...#20...the catcher...the baseball player! Have a blessed day everyone!!!
