Good Afternoon All, First on behalf of the North West Men’s League may I thank you for your nominations for this Springs tour of Serbia, we had an excellent day yesterday at Golborne Parkside with 41 players taking part which made our task of selecting 20 tourist hard but pleasurable. We did the selection based on primary and secondary positions with 6 independent selectors and 2 observers. I can only applaud all the lads on the efforts given yesterday they did create an headache. The selected squad below engages 13 clubs with 20 players, there are also 3 train on members who have been informed. You will see the votes that was cast per players per position, we also did not discriminate against players who could not make the trail through injury or work commitments, everyone was given a fair crack of the whip and the outcomes are shown in the squad below. The tour will play in the Belgrade cup on the 7th May and will Play the Serbian National team two days later on the 9th May. The squad will depart 5th May from Manchester and return on the 10th May, a civic reception will be held in their honour on the 8th May. If any coaches would like feedback regarding individual players who did not get selected feel free to contact me tomorrow and I will go through the system with you.
