Good Afternoon, We are pleased to share with you the launch of the NBCC Foundation’s new Facebook page and Twitter account, and the revitalization of our LinkedIn group in preparation for the second annual Giving Tuesday, on December 3, 2013. Trending online under the hashtag #GivingTuesday or #GT, Giving Tuesday is a movement to create a national day of giving back on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We invite you to help us make counselors’ presence and the work of the NBCC Foundation known on Giving Tuesday this year. To learn more about Giving Tuesday, click here. The contributions and efforts of partners, donors and advocates resulted in a significant increase in charitable giving on last year’s Giving Tuesday. Blackbaud, a provider of cloud-based donor management software, processed over $10 million in online donations—53 percent more than the Tuesday after Thanksgiving the previous year. Razoo, one of the fastest growing crowdfunding platforms for causes, saw a 50-percent increase in donations for the same period. We are especially grateful to each of our donors and look forward to seeing the difference we can all make together this Giving Tuesday.
