Good Afternoon! Were sorry for the lack of updates, but the weather has been pretty nice the past couple days and after Arthur, were taking this time for ourselves and spending time with our families! Sadly, not everyone can enjoy the past couple days as they have been without power for very long periods of time. There are still power outages in Nova Scotia, although they are listed as small/individual outages and not on the outage map. The areas affected are Bridgetown, Bridgewater, Clare, Coldbrook, Digby, Kingston, Liverpool, Shelburne and Yarmouth. A full list of each individual area in these communities with outages can be found here: nspower.ca/en/home/outage-centre/smaller-or-individual-outages/default.aspx Some of these areas will have been without power for almost 160 hours when they finally regain power again. New Brunswick remains with a very high amount of power outages, as of 2:48PM ADT, 21310 homes/businesses are without power. Original estimates earlier this week suggested most areas would have power by this weekend; however, latest estimates suggest that some customers in Fredericton, Rothesay, St.Stephen and Woodstock could be without power until 10pm/11pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. :/ That would put them at 250+ hours without power since Arthur on July 5. Remember that power crews are doing the best they can with the damage and restoring outages. NB Power has said that this has been the most damaging storm to NB Powers electric grid and they dont believe there has ever been a time in history where 140000 customers were without power at once. Enjoy your day! On the bright side, its the summer and not the winter (like the Ice Storm) so you wont have to worry about being cold! - Robert
