Good Evening Everyone, *Puts on Herald tabard* A few - TopicsExpress

Good Evening Everyone, *Puts on Herald tabard* A few questions about Baronial awards were privately escalated to me, and Id like to clear a few misconceptions all at once. Per Corpora (p. 24), the right to make awards as they see fit is vested solely in the Baronial royalty. This is supported and not contradicted by Kingdom Law, and likewise by your Baronial Charter. This also means that no award must be ratified, approved, announced, discussed, etc before being granted. Any Baronial award issued by the Royalty is being issued with the authority vested in them by the Crown. With such a long term of office it can be difficult to keep in perspective that a landed Baron or Baroness is the appointed representative of the Crown of our Kingdom. He, She, or They represent the Crown to members of the populace just as much as they represent the Barony to the Crown. Last, the registered status of an award or order name, or the badge of an award or order is irrelevant to its validity. That is to say, just because an award is not registered with the Society, or just because it doesnt have a registered badge, does not make it any less valid. There is no requirement above your Baronial Charter to register the awards and badges (though it is always encouraged!). Last year when I addressed the same concerns I had spoken with other senior and Baronial heralds and pursuivants. This time I have confirmed it with both the Constellation Seneschal and the Dragon Herald. I hope any confusion is now gone, but if not please dont hesitate to privately contact me on Facebook or via Brynn.Herleifsson@gmail Brynn Constellation Herald
