Good Evening FB PARENTS & welcome to another exciting school year. Just a few things to keep in mind from A+Tutorial. All families ensure your children get adequate REST as we start the school year. Make sure you go to the school and MEET your child’s teacher. Find out when back to school night is & try to attend. If you can’t make it, make sure you meet the teacher’s personally & they have all your contact information, given to them by you (not the child) (High School) Review your child’s SCHEDULE, know the drop dates (if any), MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD IS TAKING ALL OF THEIR CORE CLASSES IN THE MORNING (if possible). Try to schedule non core classes after lunch (if you can) Make sure you know & be part of the process in picking your child’s schedule (Don’t let your child & the guidance counselor pick their schedule without your input) (High School) DON’T LET your child take any DOUBLE BLOCK CLASSES (CLASSES THAT MEET EVERYDAY). If you have questions call us & we will explain. (Middle School) Do your best to ensure your child is taking Pre-ALGEBRA IN 6TH GRADE. As we move forward in the school year, don’t forget there are 4 report cards & a progress report every 4.5 weeks. Make contact with the teacher once every 2 weeks, no matter how your child is doing. MAKE CONTACT (VERY IMPORTANT) If a student is failing, it starts week 1 not week 9. No hidden surprises. If you have any question please don’t hesitate to call us at 757-344-6168.
