Good Evening Plaza Facebook Pals.....Now as you know Teddie Facebook Man is an excitable young pup at times.....but there is often excited....and then there is EXCITED!!!!!.....and this falls into the latter catagory!....... In 1932 when our Cafe Lounge was opened we had beautiful hat stands for our guests which in due course we were planning to have recreated....so when our Vice Chairman and Technical Director Gary Trinder who has been the driving force behind much of our Restoration was visiting a local antiques shop today there was one of those JAW DROP moments!......as there.... in all its glory was a hat stand of almost exactly the same design which has now been duly purchased and will grace our Cafe Lounge in the very near future..... These images show the Cafe on opening day - October 7th 1932 and our new acquisition..... :)
