Good Evening. Posting this message to answer the various questions I keep getting on my e-mail, FB inbox and through other means. I hope this clarifies the most frequently asked questions and sorry for not being able to reply individually: 1. I do not take any interns or assistants for my wildlife photography. 2. I do not get a salary in Wildlife Photography. I earn by conducting various photography workshops, photo tours, webinars, corporate workshops, 1-1 workshops etc etc. I earn depending on how much I work. 3. I do not earn by selling my photographs and no, I do not sell my images to National Geographic or BBC (wish I could). 4. I do not get any kind of privileges or special permits for my wildlife photography in the National parks or Sanctuaries. All the wildlife images I have made are as a normal tourist by paying for the permit, Gypsy, or any of the forest department fees which any other normal tourist pays. 5. It took me around 15 years of effort before Canon approached me and made me their brand ambassador around 6 years back. 6. How to get into Wildlife Photography (as a hobby)?....hmm...I hope to write something on this soon.. 7. You want to make a career in Wildlife Photography - Sorry, the harsh reality is - I am not aware of any professional wildlife photographers in India who earn only from Wildlife Photography. Many of us earn through the workshops, photo tours and products/services related to wildlife photography. 8.
