Good Evening Zambia, We continue our journey down memory lane. Those days you know you had a Zambian mother if; 1. She has a drawer or a place for keeping paper bags after shopping 2. When she beats you up she said We mwana wambwa....Kolwe iwe, kuti na kwipaya” 3. When she beats you up with pauses Amano *SLAP* ya bupuba *KICK* inshifwaya *PINCH* waufwa.....fumapa. 4. She will tried to remove anything that looks like dirt from your face with her saliva, even a birthmark. 5. She asked you questions that had no answers “ta usambile iwe teee kamani ” 6. After whipping you she will be like Daddy talaleni “hmmm nala mishitilako na biscuit” 7. She responds with “Tawalye ubwali” if you accidentally break utensils made of glass 8. She had special plates and cups for guests 9. She has a list of neighbours and relatives where you could not dare step in to or you are dead 10. You fell asleep on the couch but woke up in bed well covered 11. Every newborn baby in the family uses the same sweater/showel you used when you were young. 12. She threatened to hit you by actually hitting you. 13. When she buys you oversize uniform and says “Ukala kulilamo nangu ati ikakulinga ngawakula”
