Good Friday morning, Hopkins County area.....hazy and 70 degrees at my house this morning at 6:00 a.m., and expect a very warm 96 degrees, under sunny skies for an afternoon high.....tonight calls for a low of 74 degrees, with clear skies as we continue in a warming trend that will last thru the early part of next week....expect daytime highs in the upper 90s and near 100 degrees!......A busy, busy day on Thursday at my house as I moved three loads of stuff from my old place to my new place and had to figure-out where to put it all.....and it was a hot job!....But, one of my treasures that I found was a hand-written recipe from my Grandmother for her Pear Cake.....Mam-Ma had written it down for me and It was in a drawer that I was cleaning out.....Ill probably frame it and put it in my kitchen....made the hot day much more bearable!.....Came in and finished unloading and headed for the pool....the water never felt any better!.....I need to repeat the exercise today, if I can find the time!.....I didnt realize just how many books I had, until you start trying to load them and move them!....Theyre heavy and Im trying to group them according to subject, when I get them to my new place.....I need a librarian!.....This morning I was drawn to the seventy-third Psalm, verses 23-26, Yet I am always with you...you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterwards will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire but you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. God is truly the only lasting thing that we can depend on....the things of this earth are here today but gone tomorrow, but God is the constant on this earth and will be with us throughout eternity....He is our counsel and guide and will lead us to heaven above! On this beautiful and hot day that He has created for us, depend on Him and be blessed!
