Good Jealousy 27/11/14 Good jealousy. Is it truly possible? Let me take you on a journey to understand a wonder that has led me to an increase of trust, not a decrease, and a deepening devotion to the one whose heart is for ever open wide to me. Good jealousy proceeds out of a perfect love. It is firey hot but also gentle. It is passionate but caring. It desires our attention, our loyalty and faithfulness. It comes out of the heart of our first love out of which all other loves can grow far more beautifully and wonderful than had no first love begun. Good jealousy springs out of a deep longing that our affections be not wasted on things that do not count, that are not of Him, like lies, dishonesty, all the things we get attached to our security, success and welfare Good jealousy desires no divisions between where a commitment for forever has been made no destruction of the union no thieves, no foxes coming in to kill or destroy no forgetting who we are and how much we have been loved, forgiven Good jealousy desires to bring freedom to live out of our gifts that enable the flowering of individuality, a beautiful contentment of being able to work together with the giver of all good things (Unholy jealousy is the green-eyed monster who seeks to hurt, to injure, kill and destroy lurking with overtones of selfishness, suspicion a hideous resentment building up becoming possessive, demanding, overbearing degrading, demeaning)
