Good Jobs First once again ranks Vermont as best in nation Good Jobs First, an independent, national policy resource center for grassroots groups and public officials that promotes corporate and government accountability in economic development, has once again rated Vermont very high. Their most recent study, Show Us the Subsidized Jobs, ranked Vermont in the top five for states that have best practices for disclosing information regarding business subsidies. In the two previous studies in this series, “Money for Something” and “Money-Back Guarantees for Taxpayers,” Good Jobs First ranked the Vermont Employment Growth Incentive (VEGI) program among the best in the United States for enforcement, safeguarding the taxpayer, and ensuring good job creation.
