Good Lord, it is December already! We are less than 12 months away from our 50th Reunion and we need your help! In 2009, when we put together our Master List we spent much money, much time and many telephone calls trying to locate everyone. It took months and we were able to reach most of the class. The mailings, telephone calls and eventually tackling people in the supermarket helped to create the email list we are reaching out with now. So here we are again five years later, but we have a big problem. We have about 140 classmates for whom we only had snail mail accounts in 2009. And we have another 130 we reached by telephone - yet we dont know if their telephone number is good anymore! Much has changed in everyones life since 2009. People moved - then moved again - as housing prices collapsed, or because the recession wiped out 401ks. Now lots of us have retired and downsized and/or moved to be near kids and grandkids. And when we move we dont get a new telephone line installed; we just use our cell phone number. Plus people change Internet Service Providers all the time, or they left the job that was their working email. This is so much like herding cats. On the plus side, more people now (finally!) have email accounts - except we dont know who has what! (In the future, we will all have email accounts - or we will never be heard from again! Life changes; get used to it.) These days people can literally disappear despite the Internet. So, here is a list of people we need to find email addresses for. Look it over; if you dont know their email, maybe you know where they moved within the last five years and can give us a specific snail mail address to update our mailing. Your name might even be here because we have one or two email addresses which we cant match up - let us know if you are listed! You might have some of these people on your FaceBook or LinkedIn page, or perhaps you Tweet them. (Try putting all the information into 140 characters - good luck!) For 2015 and in the future, we really need to find email addresses because it costs a hundred dollars just to do one USPS mailing - many of which will come back addressee unknown or forwarding expired. Oh, and just to state the obvious, we dont really have a hundred bucks sitting around. So take pity on your poor, over-worked, diligent, faithful Reunion Committee and see if you can find someone we need to find. Who knows, maybe they live next door and you can just print them out all the stuff we email to you! Let us know. Attached is the Reunion Reservation form with all the prices and dates so you can deliver the key stuff in one fell swoop. You can print it on one page and fold it into a paper airplane to throw - any way that works! (The names below go on forever, so dont try to print out this email unless you own a ream of paper.) ****************************** A sad note about some of us who have passed away. We learned that Donna Gross Gay died back on April 11, 2012. And we believe that Fred Dowcett is also gone, although we dont have a specific date for his passing. And lastly, Susan Mirabito Kinsman kindly advised us that we had the wrong date listed for Claude Kinsmans death. It should be noted as June 1, 2013. As we all realize, there will be several on the list below who also may have passed. If you can let us know, especially if you can reference a date and place, it will be much appreciated.
