Good Monday Morning!! Hope you all took time this weekend to enjoy the beauty of Northern Michigan! UPDATE: Molon will be focusing on the Madison Street intersection today. There is a lot of work to do in this intersection. Manholes will have to be installed as well as swirl units which will separate large debris and grit from storm water. Once these units are set Molon will begin installing the storm water infiltration system going south from Madison. I would expect that by the end of the week the storm system south of Madison will be mostly completed. I have not confirmed that a second crew will be present to begin working north from Madison. If a second crew is not used, once the system is installed south of Madison then Molon will proceed north from Madison. At some point within the next two weeks Molon will also be proceeding west on Madison to M-22 to replace the storm water line. Once the storm system is installed we should see the road begin to be put back together and a base course of paving being installed. Please keep in mind that with the installation of the storm water infiltration system there will be a lot of truck activity in and around the construction site. Molon has to remove all of the subgrade material and haul off site and replace with stone which has to be hauled in to the site. Sand and gravel will also have to hauled in for the road bed subgrade. We will continue to keep you informed as we hear from the Contractors.
