Good Monday Morning, Pearls! As we go into another week, I want - TopicsExpress

Good Monday Morning, Pearls! As we go into another week, I want you to think about the word DISAPPOINTMENT. This word is not one of my favorites, but it is a word that holds much truth and much hope. If we lived in a perfect world, that word would be non-existent. There would be no definition of it and we would not experience the sadness related to it. But, we live in a real world, with real life-problems and there is no escape from disappointment. We experience it as children; finding our place in social gatherings with other children. We experience disappointment when we dont get that job that we so wanted. Disappointment is in our psyche when our children are not successful or our mates are not honorable, and when our friends dont measure up to our expectations. We experience disappointment when we fail ourselves and our shame is evident. But does disappointment have to become that one thing in life that defines who we are/what we are capable of achieving? It should not define our character or limit our possibilities. Yes, we cannot escape disappointments, but we should use it as a learning tool; as a post-op diagnosis for our personal healing. Disappointments should not make us bitter; sad perhaps, but never bitter. They should make us stronger in our resolve to be better human beings, parents, mates and friends. In the real world, we will always have disappointments and it isnt how or why they happen, it is how we face them. If we remember that a disappointment is nothing more than a problem that may/or may not have a solution, accept it and learn from the experience, our adjustment to life-experiences becomes our learning tool. For me, there are 4 steps to overcoming disappointments: (1) ACKNOWLEDGE, (2) ACCEPT, (3) PRAY ON IT, and (4) KEEP IT MOVING. Remember that disappointment is a tool of Satan that causes us to doubt ourselves and our faith. Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Matthew 21:21. HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK.
