Good Monday afternoon - are you enjoying the warm up? We have climbed 41° (at 3 PM) since Sunday mornings low of 24° and have reached the middle 60s. Strong southerly breeze continues, and will overnight before rain chances arrive Showers will make their way into the state by sunrise Tuesday and at this point should hold off for the AM commute. Slow moving line of showers will arrive by noon and linger into the evening commute on Tuesday. Rainfall amounts are not that impressive with a 6 model average coming in at .24 for the city with a range of .14 to .40. Enjoy the warmth Monday because a colder pattern is emerging now for the first 2 weeks of November. Chilly air filters in beginning Tuesday evening then a series of systems will rise a northwest flow jet stream into the state throughout weekend and into next week. We have identified 3 potential waves or systems that could bear some snow with them. Not accumulating snow at this point - but it further underscores the cool that is coming. Temperatures could run as much as 8 to 15 degrees below normal starting Friday.
