Good Monday morning. Last week was a busy week with a heart scan on Monday and a radiologist appointment on Tuesday. I do not have results from heart scan but no news is probably good news. I do not see the radiologist fir three months which means burns are almost healed and except for fatigue I am doing well. I did get the tumor marker results. I wanted a zero reading (which the radiologist said she had never seen in a breast cancer patient) but instead got a 5.8 which actually is a little higher than my previous reading but normal. Anything up to 30 does not raise too much concern unless there are definite spikes in readings. My friend Patsy Everton posted a comment on Facebook which spoke of a verse in Jeremiah which indicates The Lord has a plan for your life. I know God is in control and has a plan for me. I think being the impatient person I can be I. Am overly anxious at times to know the plan. I am praying about it though. Medically I am doing very well. Thursday morning Lyman and I went to the mountains of western North Carolina and spent time with his sister and brother-in-law. It was a great visit and we even had snow Friday morning . Christmas shopping was fun in Blowing Rock at the outlet mall. This year I have felt such an urge to get the preparations of the season completed early . Maybe it is Gods plan so I can have the time to reflect on the miracle of Christmas. Time with family I love, the beauty of the mountains, Christmas shopping, and snow made the trip a gift I thoroughly enjoyed. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my surgical oncologist. This is the first visit since the post op visit after surgery last March. I am looking forward to the appointment and some additional tests to make sure all is well. As I come to the end of each stage if treatment I have often times thought of the verse that has given me strength when times were tough. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Each day I am so blessed by each of you. I know a peace that passes all understanding and know for me your love and encouragement is part of Gods plan for my life. Have a great week ! God is good.
