Good Morning All, Been up since 3AM...ugh, whomever came up with the quote Early to Bed, Early to Rise, Makes a Man Healthy, Wealthy and Wise obviously never had insomnia.. :). Really the only reason I am up so early is yesterday while we were outside I was klutzy and spent the afternoon in ER with a hyper-extended knee. I am just grateful the doctor decided against the leg immobilizer. So it was achy hence being up so early. When I stated I was up for the challenges in 2015 this was not what I had in mind. ;) but this to shall pass. Yesterday, my sister-in-law stated she hoped we were not becoming discouraged with Idaho and its weather. I assured her we were not, but one thing I did forget to tell her was I have never felt so alive and I also see it in the horses. Yesterday morning as Rob was looking out the kitchen window into the North pasture herd, he called me to the window. The sun was just beginning to come over the hills, when all of a sudden the horses began running, and bucking. It was simply beautiful, as their new environment has changed their behavior. They have a new lease on life as well. When we were in NV, they were not it stalls, but had very large areas but nothing like this. So this makes my heart sing as even our Senior horses seem to have been rejuvenated, guess we all have been. Over the next three years we have a lot that will be done to benefit the horses. One of the things I wish we could have brought with us was our wash racks as they were great, but Rob has assured me he will build more. Since we had a benefactor so generously donate a barn on 12/23/14 which will be constructed in the spring it has put us a year ahead of schedule which means we will be able to attend auctions in the future to save more horses and they will have an area which they can be comfortable while quarantined from the others and it gives us the opportunity to get to know them and vice versa. I keep telling myself, Rome was not built in a day, and it will all come together, with patience. We hope you all have a wonderful day, and remember Today is a Good Day to have a Good Day! Stephanie and Rob :)
