Good Morning Brothers and Sisters, We was needing meat, but now now!!! Isaiah 40:31, But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. We was just talking about buying some meat, but now; yesterday, on our way over to Joplin to pick up some wood and we had stopped in Webb City, to get horse feed and a tank heater, for our Green Acres, as Janice calls the place. Just north of MSSU, we was driving along slowly; when 2 larger Does came running towards the road and we managed to miss the first one, which went across the front bumper, without hitting her, but then, the second one, ran straight into the right fender, on the trailer. It all but, cut her left rear leg off and almost completely gutted her; but she somehow, as it was, kept on running, about another 100 yards and dropped. I turned around and drove into a driveway, right next to her; jumped out, with my hunting knife, in hand, cut her throat, but there wasnt any blood. Then, I was going to finish gutting her; but a lady came out and told me not to gut her in her yard, so, I loaded her on the trailer and took her to our other house, near Duquesne, Missouri. I called the Sheriffs Office and reported it, then; they called the Conservations Office and they said, they would call me back!!! The Deputy called me back and said, the Deer was ours to keep!!! Then, I called Souls Harbor; but they wouldnt take it, then I called Hatfields Butcher Shop, to see if they was open and they was, so the rest is history. And now, the HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY; thing is, I didnt have to buy a Hunting license nor waste a bullet!!! I only got a little blood, on both hands and the young men at the Butcher Shop; finished cutting the guts out and carried her inside. AWESOME We bought Chili, beef Jerky; crackers and Slim Jims, to eat on the way home too. Hatfields, has SOME OF THE BEST CHILI AND BEEF JERKY; in the Country, as far as Im concerned!!! Just think, now all we have to do; is wait until Hatfields calls and go get the MEAT, packaged and all ready, for the freezer. This is why, the Bible says; the Lord works in Mysterious Ways. And now, in my opinion; this is the BEST MEAT, MOTHER EARTH HAS TO OFFER too!!! But now, all we have to do; is move the Freezer down to Green Acres, and even though Janice calls this place Green Acres, I call it the Fiddle Farm, because Im always out fiddling around on the place, where the Father in Heaven has given us both, with all our little critters, to have and be HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY and Thank the Lord, we are EXTREMLY HAPPY too.
