Good Morning Cousins…. It’s 34 degrees outside of the headquarters for Internet sensations. We will be in the upper 30s today with the chance of a rain/snow mix. Winter will try to sock us a few more times before finally saying goodbye. It will be none too soon. We have no delays, incidents or tales from the mope-side to report at this time. There are 183 days until the Brimfest Crazy Cousins Reunion and Veterans Welcome Home Parade. Make sure to mark your calendars. On this date in 1886, the first AC power plant in US began operation in Massachusetts. One month later, the “estimated” bills caused swearing all over the state. Gee, we have had over 100 years of electric bills. That is NOT a yahtzee. Today is NOT my birthday. If today is your birthday, we hope you have the best day ever. We also hope you get an entire tub of Tinker Toys. I am not in North Carolina, nor am I in Buffalo, New York. Good morning to the chief, officers and staff at the Buffalo Police Department. Carry on! Happy Birthday to Steve Borden. If you do not recognize him by that name, we can use his stage name for when he wrestles….he is Sting. Sting is 54 years old today. I would never go on record saying wrestling is fake, because I would then be challenged to a match by one of those fellas. That is wrong on so many levels, including what I would wear during the match. If I can’t wear navy blue and a duty belt, it just doesn’t seem right… Happy Birthday to Hal Linden. He is 82 years old today. He is an actor and is known for his role as Barney Miller on the TV show of the same name. That show was awfully funny. There is no truth to the rumor that the Brimfield Police Department will be in a TV show and I will play Chief Oliver. That role is far too complex for my miniscule acting ability. Happy Birthday to Fred Rogers. He is no longer with us. He was Mr. Rogers on TV for decades. I sure do miss Mr. Rogers. The song stuck in your head today is the theme from the Mr. Rogers TV Show. “Its a beautiful day in this neighborhood, A beautiful day for a neighbor, would you be mine? Could you be mine?” You are all very welcome…. Today’s Quote: “Success is more permanent when you achieve it without destroying your principles.” ~Walter Cronkite Stick to your principles today….Chief Oliver.
