Good Morning Crazy Cousins…. We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We have about 36 degrees at the Brimfield Police Department. We will be at about 39 degrees today with partly sunny skies. There are no delays, incidents or arrests to discuss at this time. Today is December 1st, 2014. The 2015 Brimfest Crazy Cousins Reunion and Veterans Welcome Home Parade is Saturday, September 19, 2015. We sure hope you can all make it for the big celebration. On this date in the year 1903, The Great Train Robbery, the first Western film, was released. That is a very important day in history for me. I grew up watching westerns and still love watching them. John Wayne was my boyhood hero. He had swagger. The word for the day is…lionize (LY-uh-nyz). The word means, “to treat or regard as an object of great interest or importance.” We use it in a sentence as follows: “It appears that a small percentage of our citizens are beginning to lionize marijuana.” And now the Brimfield Police Department Etiquette Tip of the Day: “While in public places and in the presence of ladies and children, please refrain from using foul language.” Today is NOT my birthday. Happy Birthday to all of you cousins who were born on this date. We hope you have a great day today. We also hope you get the entire series set of “The Twilight Zone” on DVD. Happy Birthday to Keith Thibodeaux. He is an actor. He was “Little Ricky” in “I Love Lucy.” He was also on “The Andy Griffith Show,” as Opie’s friend Johnny Paul Jason. Yes, these are the things which clutter my mind. Happy Birthday to Woody Allen (director), Bette Midler (singer, actress) and Lee Trevino (golfer). I am not a big Woody Allen guy. His humor escapes my logic. Happy Birthday to John Densmore, the drummer from “The Doors.” The song stuck in your head today is….Hello, I Love You. “Hello, I love you, wont you tell me your name? Hello, I love you, let me jump in your game. Hello, I love you, wont you tell me your name? Hello, I love you, let me jump in your game.” I sure hope he is not saying that to her while following her down the street. Yikes.
