Good Morning Cumberland County! Today is December 4th and as - TopicsExpress

Good Morning Cumberland County! Today is December 4th and as compared to yesterday, it is colder out there today. Be sure the kids have heavier jackets this morning as they need to wait for the bus or go out for recess. Be prepared for wet roads this morning, too. If we are lucky, we might get rid of some of this rain for a little while. How are you doing today? I sure hope you are fine and all is going well with you. At work yesterday, I got some time to get some planning done and other things caught up with our TOP program. Looking to try and get all our goals done before the end of the month. I picked up our new fundraising t-shirts yesterday – they look great! Designed by one of our students! We are selling them to raise funds for our TOP activities and for Angel Tree (House of Hope). It might be too late for Angel Tree this year, but we will begin contributing for next year. If you see us at Threads of Hope, take a look at the shirt and maybe buy one for a Christmas present. We also have order forms if you request them. I have to go to work this morning and have a couple of transports to do and then I hope to get to Kroger to help Sharon bell ring for Salvation Army (a CMA community service). Our time is from 3 to 5 this afternoon. Yesterday when I came home from work, I got the tools out that were put away before we left for Thanksgiving. Then, I got another 30 inches (6 rows) of the 7 ½ feet left to complete laid down. This floor will be done very soon! Well, I am working this morning on a new laptop computer!! We have to move over a lot of files from the old computer, yet. We got a Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Series! Takes a little getting used to, but I think I will like it. The hardest thing I will have to get used to is the 8.1 operating system from my XP. The first week of December is almost gone! 21 days until Christmas!! 17 days until the first day of winter. 13 days until Hanukkah. I think I have to let Lucy in (she’s barking at the door) and make me a cup of coffee. GMA just came on, too. Got Lucy in but still need to make me coffee. OK, guess I better get ready for work this morning and cut this post short, now. Before I go, I want to share a few THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY: … Save decorative stationary for personal notes. Kittens and balloons will not help you in the business world. … In a sales situation, give the impression that you love what you do. … Don’t be afraid to day, “I don’t know.” … Change your car’s oil and filter every 3,000 miles regardless of what the owner’s manual recommends. … Don’t be afraid to say, “I made a mistake.” … I’ve learned that a time comes when you would give all you possess to have your grown children young again, if only for one day. … When you have a wonderful wife, tell others – but be sure you tell her too. … People are in such a hurry to get to the “good life” that they often rush right past it. ………….. I hope you enjoy your gift of Thursday!! Continue making those weekend plans and please include family and friends. Stay safe and healthy and make you light shine for all to see. ……… Catch you again, later…………. :)
