Good Morning Everyone! Up and at ‘em. It is 66 degrees at the Center for Internet Sensationalism. We will be near 80 today with another day full of chances for rain and thunderstorms. We are getting the rain out of our system now, because it will be 75 and sunny on Saturday when all of those kids show up to fish! We have no crashes, incidents or capers to report as of now. Today is June 12th, 2014. There are 100 days until the Brimfest Crazy Cousins Reunion and Veterans Welcome home Parade. On this date in 1923, Harry Houdini freed himself from a straight jacket while suspended upside down, 40 feet above ground in NYC. I sure hope ol’ Harry wasn’t a mope. That is one arrest I would like to pass on, if possible. How the heck do you arrest and then SECURE Harry Houdini?? “Hey, David…where in the *&%$ is your arrestee?” No thanks. I would prefer one slow and non-escape artist, to go, please. The word for today is…ingratiate. The word means, “to establish (oneself) in the favor or good graces of others, especially by deliberate effort.” We use it in a sentence as follows: “If you would like to ingratiate yourself with that group of grandmothers, you should swear less.” No cursing around grandma, please. Papa Bush is 90 today. No matter what your political affiliation is, when a man reaches 90, you always wish him well. Mr. Bush has had some health issues recently. We hope he has a great day. We will hold off on giving him the Twister game. Happy Birthday to Jim Nabors. He is an actor and singer. He player Gomer Pyle on the Andy Griffith Show and later his own spinoff show. We love Gomer. He ran the fillin’ station. Barney also deputized him a few times and those two together were a hoot. Gomer was best known for making a “citizens arrest” on Barney for an illegal U-turn.
