Good Morning FB Friends and Family! Today we are going to talk about Gods unfailing love! His life-saving love! The word compassion in Isaiah 54:10 comes from the Hebrew word racham, meaning to to soothe; to cherish; to love deeply like parents; to be compassionate; tender. We feel this way about our children dont we - of course we do - but eventually they must leave the nest and face lifes difficulties on their own; but our Father, Hes not rearing us to be independent of Him - Hes not rearing us to leave home - Instead He is rearing us to come home! Read Psalm 136. The obvious theme in this chapter is His love endures forever. It offers many points but the utmost importance is this: Gods works change, but His love stays simple, steady, and strong. What do you fear most? Read Romans 8:38-39. Our fears can cripple our walk with God; but when we live with purpose and the mentality displayed in this passage, we realize that fear has no place in our lives because nothing separates us from God - unless we put it there! Proverbs 19:22 says, What a man desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar. Every human being strongly desires, covets in others, and longs for unfailing love. Lavish love. Focused love. Love we can count on. On your own, try describing what unfailing love means - to you, what adjectives would you use? Turn with me to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Does your idea of unfailing love sound anything like Pauls description? Paul described agape love as a supernatural love that only God fully possesses and only God can give. The only way we can love with agape is to pour everything else from our hearts and ask God to make them pitchers of His agape. Before we can even begin to give God-love away, weve got to fully accept it ourselves! God loves you with perfect love! According to 1 John 4:18, what does perfect love accomplish when were willing to accept it? Drives out all fear! Have you ever feared losing the love of someone? I have and not only feared it, but fully experienced it! But see God has allowed me to experience this, not to hurt me, but so that I would discover that I would not die - cause let me tell you there were moments in my pain I thought I would die! They didnt destroy me - like I thought they would. Not because of my strength, but because God taught me to survive on His unfailing love - Alone! Was not fun, but transforming YES! I am realizing that the only thing I cannot survive without is His love - surrounding me and compassionate for me! His love endures forever. That is what He means that perfect love drives out fear. The Word of God uses the phrase unfailing love 32 times, and not once is it attributed to humans. Every single use of the phrase refers to God and God alone. As rich as the love others can extend, only Gods love is unfailing. Friends, accept Him - let Him show you what perfect love is. This world is filled with people who are hurting because they feel like no one loves them - teenagers having babies to find love - when the Creator of the Universe is madly deeply compassionately in love with You! Allow Him to drive out your fears and show you what love is! God, thank You for loving me - a sinner who does not deserve Your unfailing love - but I fully accept it because Jesus died to give it to me!
