Good Morning FB Friends it is Throw Back Thursday, September 04, 2014. It is an early muggy morning. An unbelievable amount of accidents some fatal, have happen in the area the last few days. Some of these caused by people texting and crossing over the center line and hitting innocent people head on or rear ending them and taking their lives or causing serious injuries. Then seeing a young man driving 65 mph on his motorcycle head down and texting, really not smart at all to gamble with your own life and soul! Accidents do happen but incidents above are self-inflicted allowing distractions to put self and others in very dangerous and fatal situations! There has been a high increase of accidents caused by “distractions” and this relates to our Spiritual Journey as well! Today, a simple but to the point simple two word title for our Destiny Road Journey post, “STAY FOCUSED!” Today, we again look to Psalmist/King David who had a series of distractions that caused many serious wrecks in his life, yet he knew the truth of where to “Focus” and God gave him mercy, grace and forgiveness to “Re-Focus!” Let this portion of scripture be a place of meditation for a “Renewed Focus,” David’s Account in Psalm 86:8-13, “My Lord! There is no one like You among the gods! There is nothing that can compare to Your works! All the nations that You’ve made will come and bow down before You, Lord; they will glorify Your name, because You are awesome and a wonder-worker. You are God. Just You. TEACH ME YOUR WAY, LORD, SO THAT I CAN WALK IN YOUR TRUTH. MAKE MY HEART FOCUSED ONLY ON HONORING YOUR NAME. I give thanks to You, my Lord, my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forever, because Your faithful love toward me is awesome and because You’ve rescued my life from the lowest part of hell.” ~ Each day let us “STAY FOCUSED” David in the midst of the “Battles of Life” where he takes focus, “Give ear to my prayer, O God; and do not hide Yourself from my supplication. Give heed to me and answer me; I am restless in my complaint and am surely distracted, because of the voice of the enemy, because of the pressure of the wicked; for they bring down trouble upon me and in anger they bear a grudge against me.” (Ps. 55:1-3). Then David emphasizes the “Focus Point of Victory” in verse 22, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” ~STAY FOCUSED! ~BLESSED2BLESS OTHERS!
