Good Morning. God wants to draw us close to Him so that He can work in us to do His good pleasure. In John 12:32 Jesus reminds us of one important things that must be done before others can be drawn close to Him. Jesus said, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” This is a very profound statement that Jesus makes. It is not the evangelistic programme that we implement which will draw all men to Jesus. It is not the creative Advent Youth programme that we develop and implement which will draw all men unto Jesus. It is Jesus who draws all men unto Himself. Our Evangelistic Programmes must lift up Jesus, so that Jesus can draw all men unto Himself. Too many times our soul winning activities focus on the exhibition of the talents that we think we possess than on lifting up Jesus. We focus so much on sounding good as a preacher that we forget that our focus is to lift up Jesus. We push SELF forward in our witnessing activities instead of lifting up Jesus and then wonder why our efforts are not reaping good results. This morning God is reminding us to shift our focus away from OURSELVES. We are being reminded to shift our focus away from the display of our talents to the lifting up of Jesus. I pray that we will continue to surrender every area of our lives so that we can continue to lift up Jesus in everything that we do or say.
