Good Morning~~~Have A Wonderful Day~~~Whats First In Your Life Give Jesus First Place; Spiritual growth, peace, faith, will increase when we do the right thing and make the wise choice of putting Christ first in our life. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow or an hour from now but the Lord does. He wants us to prepare our self for the future, both the joyous times and the tough ones. Giving Christ first place and obedience in his word we are preparing our self for both occasions. Like a mirror, the Bible reflects back to us who we truly are and reveals where we need to change. When we See who we really are we see where changes need to be made we confess to the Lord our sin, and make the changes with his strength. Studying the Scriptures will increase our knowledge of God and give us insight and direction. Reading how the Lord has helped others, we will gain confidence that He is at our side, in turn increasing our faith which is so important for many reasons. One reason is the Lord wants us to have a strong faith, and trust him in all areas of our life. A second reason is it keeps us on the right path through all different situations and this is of utmost importance. As a witness to the lost, to the world people need to see our faith not just hear us talk about it. As we turn our attention to the Lord and meditate on His Word, he promises to “leadeth me beside the still waters” and give rest for my soul. He is promising here of how he provides assurance of his love, and support to us, and that by us having a quieted spirit we will be able to discern what He is saying to us. Paul’s life demonstrates what it means to give Jesus first place. Because the apostle made Christ the Lord of his life he knew joy among the trials and received the strength to face turmoil and difficulty. These blessings are attainable for each of us His children when we make relationship with Jesus our highest goal. Remember the Lord always keeps his word to us. Remember He sees the whole picture. Remember he loves us so much he bled and died for each one of us. Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Philippians 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 2Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 2Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 2Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; Galations 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. Galations 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
