Good Morning!! I apologize for the seeming lack of communication - TopicsExpress

Good Morning!! I apologize for the seeming lack of communication on my part for the past few days. We were having internet and email issues, but are now back up and running – Praise God!! I have a couple of new prayer requests for you: Laverne Allison’s younger sister, Alma Martin, is being sent home from hospice. She has lung cancer, Chron’s disease, as well as other ailments. She is not expected to live much longer. Please lift the family in your prayers as they minister to Alma, and spend time with her while they can. Also, for Laverne Allison herself. (For those of you who have not had the privilege to meet her, Laverne is the grandmother of James Prothro, and grandmother-in-law of Karla Prothro). She is to have back surgery to deal with her chronic pain. Please lift Ms. Laverne in your prayers for comfort and healing. Pray that the Lord remove this pain from her and give her peace. Keep our students and sponsors who went to student leadership camp in your prayers as they travel home. Pray for Linda, a lady who came in yesterday and spent some time with Dean and I, after being encouraged and listened to by Deanna over the phone. Please pray for God to touch her heart and show her that HE is her hope! She does profess to have accepted Christ as her savior, but is battling constant pain from back surgery over a year ago. She also is fighting depression due to the pain, as well as having lost her insurance. Obviously, she is unable to work. She is estranged from her children and is feeling down and out and hopeless. We prayed for her and told her that our church family will be praying for her as well. Please remember Linda in your daily prayers. Be encouraged to shine the light of God’s love wherever you go. We may be the only reflection of Jesus that someone sees! Remember – this coming Sunday after worship service is our Quarterly Business Meeting. We need EACH ONE of you to be here, as YOU ARE THE CHURCH BODY! We will have a light lunch of sandwiches, chips and dessert. Please bring enough sandwiches to feed your family plus one or two more people!! Hope to see you there! And our message this Sunday from Pastor Gib will be “Giving Up to Follow Jesus”, as he continues his theme of Discipleship. Please pray for our services, our Pastor, and each one who will be here. Pray for souls to be saved and lives to be changed! Look forward to seeing you this Sunday!! Judy
