Good Morning. In Luke 2:7 the bible says, “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” Look at where our Saviour, Jesus Christ, was born. Jesus was born in a bacteria infested stable where animals were kept. God who owns everything in this world came to this earth and was not born in a palace. Instead a stable was the place of His birth. What lesson can we learn from the life of Jesus? I wonder how we would have responded to the Saviour if He was born in a palace among the wealthy people of the society in Bethlehem. So many of us are attracted to wealth and would only listen to those who are in this category of society. I guess the Saviour of the world would not attract many of us unto Himself, if we lived during the time of His birth. While man looks on the outward appearance, God looks on the heart. I pray that we will continue to allow the life of Jesus to help us to understand that all that glitters is not gold. Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to the circumstance of His birth and this morning He is calling us to do the same. As followers of Christ we must be confident that He knows what is best for us. Jesus demonstrated that it is not where you are born that is important but who is in control of your life. The manger was the resting place of the Saviour of the world and He was not uncomfortable. Away In A Manger - https://youtube/watch?v=ICegJLF8RFc Have a blessed day.
