Good Morning Mississippi! Were off to a wet and windy start to your work week with everything from cats to dogs and possibly even some killer whales coming down this morning... a Miserable Monday to say the least. What we are seeing this morning is just the first round of storms. We could see a slight break in the rain by lunchtime before another line of heavy rain and strong thunderstorms will push in by the late afternoon and early evening. Some of those storms could be on the strong side with damaging winds and small hail, but flooding remains the primary threat with several Flash Flood Warnings and flooded roadways already being reported. As we head into the night tonight, that strong cold front will eventually pass and skies will begin to clear. Hopefully they clear enough by 2:46 AM so we can catch a glimpse of the Lunar Eclipse at its peak. Right now, the skies will be roughly 60% cloud cover/40% clear, so there is at least a possibility of seeing it, even briefly. You might want to grab a coat, because as those skies clear, temperatures will plummet! Well see overnight lows dip into the 30s both tomorrow and Wednesday morning! Hopefully you didnt pack those winter coats away yet! We will warm back up as we head towards this next weekend with highs near average by Saturday under mostly sunny skies. -Brad Maushart WJTV
