Good Morning!! The Rhema Revealed devotional today comes from Psalm 37:1-5 which states, " 1. Do not fret because of evil men or be envious if those who do wrong, 2. for like grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. 3. Trust in The Lord and do good;dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4. Delight yourself in The Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5. Commit your way to The Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. (NIV) David is proclaiming that our trust in God Needs to be strong!! In order for us to trust the Lord in His will we must trust him whole heartedly. Although you may be tired, frustrated, angry, sad, depressed, lonely, God is still there in the midst of it. According to verse 4, When our actions and lives please God he will give us the "desires of our heart". Also, in order to please God you must know Him well. This conveys that our relationship with God should be close and not easily wavered. Many times we notice that some people around us are doing wrong things and are steadfast in their sin, yet still receive success and happiness etc. Which can make us wonder why good comes to them and pass by the people who are doing right. David encourages us to not worry or get jealous of those people because no matter what they acquire, it will soon fade and vanish like grass (verse 1-2) Unlike the believer, they will not receive the ultimate gift of everlasting life which last forever. In trusting God, giving him everything we have & ourselves included shows our commitment to him. We should entrust The Lord with our families, jobs, finances, possessions, friends etc. this shows Him that we believe that he can care for us better than we can care for ourselves. So let us continue to be loving, kind, merciful, forgiving, giving, and all that God expects of us because He has called us to be different and an outcast of this world. "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1Peter 2:9) Be Blessed & have a Great day!!
