Good Morning Titletown! Just writing a brief message to tell you that summer is officially here. The park program leaders, affectionately known as parkies, report to work today and will begin working in the city parks during the summer months as school lets out for the year. These folks do an amazing job every year of helping with activities, lunches in the parks, and giving kids a safe park experience while they are spending some quality outdoor time getting exercise. Programs like this are yet another reason Green Bay is a great place to live, work, and play. With your help, all of the city departments can work to make it even better. In other news, the Bark N Blue annual fundraiser to support the GBPD K-9s is being held tonight at St. Brendans tonight from 6-9pm. Our K-9 handlers and their furry partners all provide excellent service and assist with community presentations, explosives detection, narcotics detection, and fleeing suspect apprehension. Some of the costs to train, maintain, equip, and most importantly feed them are defrayed because of this fundraiser. https://facebook/pages/Bark-N-Blue/207064529390934
