Good Morning everyone!! I wanted to give an end of the year wrap up for Relay For Life 2013. Lets start with....Our county wide Relay is #1 in the Region, which is Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois!! So that alone is HUGE! Now in the nation we are 23rd!!!!! Which is very HUGE!!! That is like out of over 5000 team!! Our county raised over $388,000!! There were 700 Survivors. We had 1484 registered participants/survivors. We had 81 ACS Can members (11 of those came from our team). Now on to our team....We raised $10,010.22!!!! Best year ever! Our items in the raffle tent sold for $164.00. We had 2 back to school backpacks and a couple coolers! We participated in a few different challenges when we were at Relay for 24 hours. We won 2nd place for the cake decorated contest ...Thank you Lisa in the Bakery! We came in 1st place for the middle of the night scrabble...Thank you Kyle in unloading for all the running you did! We received an award for The Road to Recovery Car. The judges loved the Superman capes!! Thank you Mandee in Pharmacy and a HUGE thank you to her daughter Shauna for building the car and all the hard work she put into it. We came in 1st place for the Instagram scavenger hunt! Thank you, Lisa O, Shauna Baldwin, Bonnie M, Courtney and anyone else who helped us win! Also thank you to everyone that came out for such a touching event! Thank you to Jackie for bringing food Saturday afternoon! It was delicious! So to wrap this up...Thank you to everyone that has helped in any way! I truly appreciate it!
