Good Morning folks.. Just made this movie this morning. Its a photo montage... mostly from my recent trip to Ecuador. But youll see my 9 year old son Louiss smiley sunny moon face too that he drew in school. Also a couple of my pastel pictures. This was a demo I made of a big band arrangement I did on Rogers and Harts Glad To Be Unhappy in the studio across the hall from where I used to live on 86th and Broadway, Hotel Bretton Hall. I love this singer. This is when she was cutting her teeth so to speak, at Manhattan school of music; where I studied for a few years in the early mid 2000s. She is now quite an evolving artist seen on the most prestigious Jazz stages in the world. Also, I have the honor of being accompanied by the great grammy winning bassist John Benitez and the cat on drums... or at least one of the big 3...mr. Obed Calavaire... on ALL SAXES AND WOODWINDS, a guy seen around Lincoln Center Jazz quite a bit and also a regular on the Great White Way, powerhouse woodwind artist, Mr.Kurt Bacher. On all trombone, a guy seen around the same scenes as Kurt... Mr. Happy Ben Griffith, and finally on all trpts.. an old friend I met while living in Hawaii in the 90s. John is the musical director for Paul Anka and a regular on all scenes around NYC, Mr John Cherdoba. I am playing a digital piano and Melodeon. I hope you enjoy my little photo montage. A very luminous group of artists over there.
