Good Morning heres a WTSA News update: A Springfield Mass resident has been arrested in Rockingham for Heroin and Cocaine possession. Vermont state police say 32 year old Jovann Martin was stopped for speeding on Interstate 91, and the drug possession was learned by police during the stop. Martin was released until a June court date. Just days before a special town meeting in Vernon.. police chief Mary Beth Hebert has resigned. Select board members will hold an emergency meeting tonight at 6 to discuss the resignation. Voters will gather May 5 to reconsider the towns budget, which saw a deep cut to the police department budget back in March. Meanwhile, Vernon school board members hope a 57 thousand dollar budget cut will satisfy voters, who rejected the school budget back in march. . The revote is scheduled for May 13. Brattleboro select board members tonight continue discussing cutbacks to the town budget. A 630 meeting is scheduled at the Brattleboro Municipal Center.
